Assistant Estates Surveyor - Central Hub

As an Assistant Estates Surveyor, you will work alongside our Estates Surveyors and Senior Estates Surveyors providing a professional Estates service to our business. Whether you are still working towards your professional qualification or recently qualified as an Associate or chartered surveyor, we will support you while you move through your surveying career.You will be involved in a wide variety of surveying work; this will keep your days varied and interesting, enabling you to gain a wide breadth of knowledge and experience. Your work will focus on managing a diverse land portfolio as well as helping to deliver our national flood risk programme, overseeing various operational projects. You may also provide assistance to the acquisition and compensation programme for major capital works.Working in the Environment Agency will mean that the environment will be at the heart of everything you do. Our Estates service is committed to delivering a professional service that exceeds customer expectations, through an innovative approach which delivers value for money while driving forward positive environmental outcomes for our local communities, customers and partners. You have your RICS accredited degree and working or ready to start working towards your RICS qualification following the relevant sector pathways such as Land and Resources, Commercial or Rural. Alternatively, you may be qualified as an Associate or chartered surveyor and wanting to grow your experience and knowledge at this level. Ideally, with some experience delivering results in an operational environment, you’ll have a working knowledge of a professional estates service. It would be advantageous if you’ve an understanding of compensation and land acquisition, estate management (including landlord and tenant) or valuation.A credible and enthusiastic communicator with good networking skills, you’ve no problem building strong relationships with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders. You’re a motivated team player, able to think on your feet and prioritise your work effectively.A full and valid driving licence is essential.
