The role
The difference our new Bid Manager will make
As a Bid Manager you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Reporting directly to the Head of Bid Delivery, they'll work across all our markets - decommissioning, new build, existing generation and defence - in the UK and internationally and in close collaboration with our naval nuclear business.
Day to day, you’ll lead the preparation and submission of winning bids, which will require strong team and internal stakeholder management skills – as well as often engaging external supply-chain/partners, submit bids that in doing so have met all schedule milestones and completed to budget agreed at outset, prepare for and lead an opportunity through the CN governance process and gate and coloured reviews. You will also engage with a varied range of subject matter experts, capability, functional and business personnel during bid preparation and provide the business with regular progress updates and liaise within the business to manage / mitigate issues which threaten successful bid progress.

Essential experience
• Ideally degree-educated though experience within a similar role matters more. • Civil or Naval nuclear preferred but someone with regulated industry experience, particularly Defence, is also of interest
