About the team

We are offering an opportunity to become an integral part of the Innovation & Transformation team (CITO) of the Corporate Solutions business unit of Swiss Re. About the role

The opportunity to actively work in a multi-functional and global environment with team members across Business Functions and Information Technology, developing the architectural blueprint for our tech landscape. In this role you will analyse, define and detail the "as is" and "to be" architectures using standard architecture models. Translate business and IT strategies and goals into architectural blueprints covering capability, process, information and systems. Actively maintain the relationships with business partners as well as IT management at all levels.

About You

Solid background in Enterprise/ Business Architecture:

Must possess the qualities, skills, business insight and experience to ensure business and systems architecture alignment. Knowledge of Commercial Insurance domain is a preference, though not required Must possess experience in multiple areas from among the following: solution architecture, application rationalisation, legacy modernisation or digital transformation. Ability to apply architecture patterns across enterprise solution e.g. Service Architecture, Event driven Architecture etc Knowledge of business/ enterprise architecture framework usage like Zachman, Togaf etc Develop, refine and maintain core architecture products, such as: value streams, capability models, application architectures, roadmaps, architectural option evaluation. Ability to perform architecture assessments, document, prioritise gaps and opportunities. Ability to conceptualise business architecture problems in a structured manner through business analysis, use case and scenario modelling and support technical design. Ability to understand relationships between information, systems, process, technology, capabilities and to accordingly drive application development and harmonisation. Possesses reasonable understanding of technologies/patterns such as e.g. Business Process Management, Cloud, Data & Analytics, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning etc. and the respective trends in the insurance markets Ability to view technology through a business lens and to therein determine the value and the use of the specific technology.
Soft skills:
Confident to engage courageously, challenge constructively and voice opinions in developing new solutions as well as improving existing solutions. Strong listening skills, able to remove any barriers by communicating and collaborating with other team members, optimally manages and resolves conflicts. Deliver presentations in a confident and polished manner both in-person and virtually. Demonstrating passion to perform by stepping up and take personal responsibility and inspire others through enthusiasm and commitment. Setting priorities with an appropriate sense of what is most important and plans with a realistic sense of the demand involved.
