The Business Support - Security Officer role is based within our Mission Systems business area.

As a Business Support - Security Officer you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. ISR is a thriving and growing business unit within Mission Systems. We are transforming and we need you to support us in forging new paths, and contributing as we grow through exciting, but sometimes challenging change
Day to day, you’ll secure the premises with regular patrolling of property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment and access points; permitting entry if required, obtain help by sounding alarms including marshalling and prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing staff and visitors of policy and procedures; deterring trespassers. You’ll compile reports by recording observations, information, occurrences and surveillance activities and also maintain the environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.

This role is based on site at Tewkesbury but you must be able to travel throughout the UK. The shift pattern will comprise of 12 hour shifts over 4 days, 4 off, 4 nights, 4 off.
• This post requires access to the most sensitive intelligence material regularly. Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo DV and SAO security clearances before taking up this post. Additionally, this material is of particular sensitivity to the UK and its distribution must be restricted to UK nationals. For the purposes of safeguarding national security applicants who do not hold or acquire DV clearance and meet the nationality requirements cannot be offered this post. • Relevant qualifications desirable i.e. BTEC Level 3 Security Management or SIA • First Aid at Work or equivalent • Fire Marshall
