WHAT TO EXPECT

JLR is going through a period of futurist change. Within the Plant Quality department, you can join us as a CMM technical Specialist and be at the forefront of this growth into electrification.

In this role, you will be conditioned around a whole host of new technology to meet our demand. You’ll play a crucial part in providing Mechanical Gauge Calibration services, covering machining and assembly areas, while facing new challenges of ever-growing demands in new engines and new battery technology. Your main responsibilities will include creating calibration certificates, managing bookings, and ensuring compliance.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Writing/improving CMM programs for calibration/verification

Efficiently use the Calibration Management System to optimize the Calibration Schedule

Assist in establishing and maintaining calibration expectations and guidelines

Collaborate with 3rd party Calibration organizations for onsite OEM Calibration

Administer the Calibration System

Assist in gauging improvements for customer complaint resolution

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Essential:

Indentured apprenticeship

Detailed knowledge of Calibration processes

Proficiency in Metrology first principles and measurement equipment

Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances

Competence in calibration techniques and procedures on mechanical measurement instruments
