About the role

At Swiss Re we are building a Risk Data & Service Platform (RDSP) with the aim to deliver outstanding Risk Insights and Services to our customers based on risk data and advanced analytics. In this context we are looking for a Junior Solution Designer to join a cross functional team. This role will focus on the build out of Risk Data Management Services for Corporate Risk Managers. These services are foundational for the whole RDS platform and enable SwissRe customers to consume other propositions like property exposure management, sustainability analysis or supply chain resilience.

As a Junior Solution Designer Risk Data Management System, you will:

Design based on client inputs new services and features enhancements that enables client and partners to easily share & manage data between them and SwissRe. Articulate user stories & journeys and support the implementation of these. To achieve this, you will partner with several proposition leads and delivery squads. Participate in customer engagements. Identify requirements and transform client data into a structured, technically usable format. Support the client managers and products owners in the delivery of client projects. Work together with the engineering teams to ensure high quality delivery of new features and monitor their usage in production. Accompany the full implementation cycle from requirement engineering, specification, implementation, testing, deployment and maintenance.

Collaboration will be crucial. You will work with multiple groups with deep expertise to shape our proposition and products, including our Key Account Managers, underwriters, engineers, market bodies, brokers, other service providers, and so on. More importantly, the team's success will be your success and vice versa – you can only be successful by becoming a deeply integrated part of the wider team.

About You

Are you eager to reinvent the insurance industry with us and make an impact? Do you wish to have your talent recognized and rewarded? Then join our growing team and become part of the next wave of insurance innovation.

You bring:

Bachelor's degree in business management, information technology, business analysis or similar. Affinity for digital products and ability to engage in technical conversations with real content & understanding. Knowledge of data platforms, platform design or IT-architecture are an asset. Understanding for the challenges of managing complex data structures and integrating with a wide variety of partners with different levels of technical capabilities. You can find solutions for ambiguous problems for multiple stakeholders with unclear/incomplete requirements. Ability to work in an agile environment. Delivering through hypothesis-driven, iterative problem-solving processes and able to integrate your own, creative ideas with those of others into solutions. You can do this at a high-level as well in detail to make sure ideas are realistic and pragmatically executed. Capability for detailed analytical work. Systematic, thorough approach to data management and transformation. Good oral and written communication, even when dealing with complicated problems and ideas. When interacting with colleagues of every level of seniority and experience, you are empathetic and sensitive, and you adjust your communication style to meet the needs of others. You have an open-minded, intellectually curious approach to everything you do; and you are likely someone who is continually learning from a variety of sources. Knowledge of commercial insurance is a benefit but not expected. Business fluency in English is needed, other languages are a plus.

We are an equal opportunity employer, and we value diversity at our company. Our aim is to live visible and invisible diversity – diversity of age, race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, physical abilities, personalities and experiences – at all levels and in all functions and regions. We also collaborate in a flexible working environment, providing you with a compelling degree of autonomy to decide how, when and where to carry out your tasks. We provide feedback to all candidates via email. If you have not heard back from us, please check your spam folder.
