Customers and Engagement Specialist

We need to think and act differently in how we work in the current environment to ensure the best outcomes for people and wildlife, however, this can pose challenges for our communities.Working as a specialist within the DCIS Customers and Engagement team you will work with others to overcome these challenges.Providing expert engagement advice and guidance to our colleagues across our environment management activities and our leadership team you’ll plan and deliver engagement activity to support the delivery of our local priorities as defined by our Local Outcome Plan. This will involve advising and supporting colleagues to plan and deliver targeted stakeholder engagement. You will be supported all the way by working with likeminded colleagues, and an organisation committed to your health and wellbeing and an ambition to make working with us feel life enhancing. - Have a strong track record of engaging and communicating with stakeholders and communities on challenging issues, using a range of appropriate channels and techniques- have proven experience in building effective relationships with people within and outside your organisation;- have excellent communication, influencing and networking skills and be well versed in our Working With Others way of working;- be able to analyse and understand complex policy issues and identify the communications implications;- understand how communication and engagement activity can contribute to changing behaviour;- be able to manage work and deliver results both to tight deadlines and over the long term;- work collaboratively to identify and solve challenges;- manage, interpret and convey complex information clearly, effectively and sensitively;- lead others through coaching, training and mentoring.- team player with the desire to chip in and help the team achieve all its goals.
