Job Title: Data Quality Officer (Sys-Admin)
Salary: £30,294 to £32,552 plus a Location allowance of £1,639. You will receive £30,294 the band minimum. Progress to the band maximum of £32,552 will be via incremental progression.

This vacancy offers an exciting opportunity for police staff Band D or Band E (on promotion) to join the CONNECT Project working in the Data and Development Team (DaDT). CONNECT will replace eight of our current MPS systems such as NSPIS, COPA, CRIS, Merlin, CRIMINT and will radically change how the MPS police London. CONNECT will bring most of the information we capture today into a single, integrated platform, helping us to use our data more effectively. The DaDT will transition to Strategy and Governance when the Project transitions to BAU.
The Data and Development Team will manage all access to the software and ensure that it is used in line with the design expectations. The Team will ensure that the data entered into CONNECT is done so correctly and that CONNECT provides the rich information it is designed to deliver.

Conduct configuration activities as directed by Config Lead and Data and Development managers.Liaise with Design leads to understand their requirements and how these translate into CONNECTUnderstanding of the structure of units in the MPSWork closely with the Design and Business teams in readiness for go-liveReview Detailed Level Designs in line with CONNECT functionalityTrack and collate issuesSupport testing and release of updates when requiredAd-hoc dutiesKey Responsibilities- Post Go-Live

Please note the team is based at Newlands Park however we are currently practicing blended working (part office based, part remote working). We will also consider flexible working applications. All considerations will take business needs into account.
Application
After the initial sift you will be invited to a 15 min MS Team call which will consist of a 10 min open book technical test on your (intermediate/advanced) knowledge of Excel along with any follow-up questions. Successful applicants will then be invited for an interview.
Vetting
This post requires access to the most sensitive intelligence material on a daily basis. Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting – SC (Security Check) and MV (Management Vetting) before taking up the post.
Additionally, this material is of particular sensitivity to the UK and its distribution must be restricted to UK nationals. In approved circumstances dual nationals (of which one element is British) may also be granted access. However, in the event that potential conflicts of interest cannot be managed the post holder will not be able to see the intelligence material and will not be able to perform their duties. For the purpose of safeguarding national security and in line with Cabinet Office Policy, supported by Section 82(2) to (4) of the Police Reform Act (2002), applicants who do not hold or acquire Security Check (enhanced) (SC) clearance and meet the nationality requirements cannot be offered the post.
