This role will be based on the University campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
In the Digital Education Service, we enable the University’s 10 year strategy for the growth of fully online education, through the provision of specialist online learning design, development and delivery expertise. Our focus is on engaging, accessible and inclusive learning experiences, underpinned by innovative digital pedagogies and technologies. We work collaboratively with academic partners, learners and across our teams through an evidence-based, solutions-focused, design-led approach.
As a Digital Education Officer in the Online Learning Team, you will bring a passion for online education to support the development and maintenance of innovative, inclusive and impactful online courses on external and internal platforms.
In this varied and interesting role, you will work across both course development and course support functions in Online Learning. In course development, you will apply and enhance your skills and knowledge of the effective and creative use of virtual learning environments, rapid authoring tools and document creation, and your understanding of instructional design and pedagogy, copyright and accessibility in online learning.
In course support, you will contribute to ensuring course administration and operational processes and practices are managed effectively, delivered consistently and to agreed quality standards. You will also support evaluation and continuous process improvement for the Service’s course administration practices and processes.
