The successful candidate will be required to meet and exceed sales expectations. They will achieve this through building relationships and maximising customer face time, whilst also promoting solutions from across the Pervasive Sensing range and liaising with sales and engineering teams. The role has responsibility for generating value and growth for both our existing customer base, whilst seeking and developing new business PRINCIPLE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and Maintain a solid understanding of available market and business opportunities for Emerson Pervasive Sensing product lines Own the UK budget and target for the Pervasive Sensing product lines, with specific product targets determined necessary by the business Utilise territory account management skills to maximise effectiveness and customer facing selling activities to ultimately win business Support the direct FSE team with customer meetings, owning and winning opportunities Identify new and actively engage with existing customers by promoting unique product features and deploying best sales practices, accompanied with technical knowledge Effectively build account relationships to become the trusted advisor within selected accounts and become the go to contact Lead niche opportunities within the UK&I market Identify, develop and lead application solutions Lead opportunities directly with accounts as business develops and as required Understand the customer business, drivers and goals Develop and execute sales growth plans/initiatives to gain market share within market sectors Increase Rosemount market share with targeted competitor displacement Pro-actively utilise the available sales and support processes, including solution selling, strategic account plans, territory plans, CRM and project teams to maximise results and increase business volumes Actively collaborate with cluster leaders to maximise customer value and share knowledge Forecast the territory expectations and update the ongoing business planning tools including POR, and territory plans Liaise with internal and external sales teams in product and application knowledge sharing Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to better understand how to position Rosemount product offerings and solutions effectively in the marketplace Maintain the required level of personal skills and knowledge required to excel in all aspects Ensure full adoption of legal and company requirements with regards to risk, trade compliance and ethical business by following the necessary procedures Undertake stretch assignments deemed to be business critical REQUIREMENTS • Educated to HNC and/or Degree level in Engineering discipline or equivalent • Experience of operating within the Gas Analysers and general industry is advantageous • Background and experience in Sales and Engineering • Proven track record of direct selling in a B2B environment • Proven track record of account management and securing new business via existing customers • Proven track record of establishing long term relationships with external customers • Demonstrate a consultative approach to selling • Demonstrate ability to work effectively with the Emerson portfolio – albeit an advantage, technical expertise is not required, but an appreciation and ability to understand product applications is essential • Experience of developing successful internal cross functional relationships within a matrix organisation is advantageous • Demonstrate ability to communicate at both technical and commercial level to resolve customer issues • English fluency to business standard essential • Ability to travel in order to fulfill duties when required is essential • Computer literacy essential with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications [Excel, Work and PowerPoint] essential • Demonstrate the Emerson Values¬ About Emerson At Emerson, we are committed to fostering a culture where every employee is valued and respected for their unique experiences and perspectives.
