WHAT TO EXPECT
This role sits in the Strategy & Reporting area of the Sustainability Office. Given the strategic nature of the work it will involve exposure to and engagement with senior stakeholders across the business.
As an ESG Disclosure Senior Analyst, your focus will be on delivering industry leading sustainability reporting. This includes working on our Annual Report but also engaging with a much broader set of disclosures to enhance the visibility of what JLR is doing in the ESG space. You will support activity across the team and business, shaping the question and helping to form JLR’s position on vital sustainability strategic issues.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Deliver quality ESG Disclosure via Annual Report and Tata Integrated Report and working collaboratively across the business to deliver content and continuous improvement of reporting standards.
Support alignment with mandatory reporting requirements, such as TCFD and keeping up to speed with industry best practice.
Deliver submissions to voluntary ratings organisations such as DJSI and CDP, to improve transparency of performance to ESG standards. Bring new thinking to the business and improve understand of ESG requirements that drive improved performance.
Monitor sustainability KPIs and review performance against targets.
Identify and work effectively with key stakeholders and approval forums.
Work autonomously and cross-functionally to deliver the answers to specific questions, making clear and concise recommendations (with appropriate financial analysis).
Help the business understand and prepare for key sustainability areas and associated economic, commercial, and political events.
Support reporting to senior leadership on project progress and gateway reviews.
Engage stakeholders and external partners (where applicable), representing JLR with professionalism and confidence.
Have a positive outlook and desire to make a difference at the heart of JLR with strong leadership and a team-oriented approach to work.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
Good understanding of sustainability as an overall topic and preferably of sustainability within automotive sector context.
Connections with others in relevant industries and stakeholder such as investors, institutional bodies, regulators, NGOs & academia.
Good commercial and financial acumen.
Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills: ability to influence and build lasting relationships within and between cross-functional teams.
Excellent understanding of project management tools and processes.
Demonstrable experience of driving project management activities for complex, cross-functional projects, delivering work to a high-quality output within tight timeframes (essential).
Experience of managing multiple projects with overlapping deadlines, ability to identify dependencies and prioritise (essential).
Experience of delivering sustainability reporting (e.g., annual reports, DJSI, CDP).
