WHAT TO EXPECT
This role is part of Global Customer Services and with global revenue of £1.5 billion, Global Aftermarket Parts Supply Chain makes a substantial contribution to company profits. Responsible for the strategic planning, release, pricing, revenue generation and supply of service parts and accessories for the global Jaguar and Land Rover sales network it is crucial to achieving availability, serviceability, costs of ownership and customer retention.
We have been transforming our supply chain with key strategic initiatives and as part of this, we are now delivery a new purpose-built warehouse campus, close to Junction 11 of the M42 at Appleby Magna. The site is one of the largest single occupancy warehouse sites in the UK at over 2 million square feet with carbon net zero in construction, transferring ~9,000 vehicles from existing sites and ramping up to receive ~35 million pieces a year. Post this, there are further programmes and initiatives to deliver as well as the on-going optimisation of the new facility.
As a team we are defining and deploying the new Global Aftermarket Warehouse Management System (WMS) Template ensuring the correct mix of Process, Data, IT and Technology to optimise and standardise operations. We have world class systems integration teams supporting us to translate the vision and business requirements into system functionality and build, test, deploy, stabilise and refine it.
As the EMW Senior Business Analyst you will report to the WMS Senior Project Manager. Your day to day responsibilities will include working closely together to balance workload, play to the teams strengths and support development aspirations.
You will own key process and system elements, developing robust plans within the critical path and driving delivery of their Data inputs and outputs, required Operational and Strategic Reporting, Testing, Training, Commissioning and Hypercare. In this role you will need to act as a delegated authority for the Project Manager, representing your elements of the plan, our work pack, and our Programme, in key decision forums with internal and external teams, communicating clearly and concisely, coaching team members to deliver, removing roadblocks, sharing ideas and Lessons Learnt, to balance scope, cost and time
You will act as the conduit between the operational and technical teams on design and build gaps, ensuring the solution matches stakeholder expectations. You will need to proactively identify and assess opportunities, risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies and work with the teams to mitigate any impact to people, scope, schedule, and budget as well as establish positive working relationships across multiple functions both internally and externally to ensure the overall optimal outcome is achieved.
The EMW Senior Business Analyst will also be responsible for supporting overall programme delivery which may include Project Governance, Business Change Management, Data Analysis, Reporting, problem resolution and managing system or process change requests.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
As an EMW Senior Business Analyst you’ll be able to independently examine and solve problems using a range of thinking techniques and insight to inform choice. The capability to combine a short term, pragmatic focus with long term strategic planning. You’ll be a results driven individual demonstrating tenacity, perseverance, able to manage own priorities, work independently and take initiative, whilst maintaining transparency and following escalation processes or taking direction where needed.
Knowledge, skills and experience
Experience or knowledge in Logistics, Supply Chain, Warehouse or Manufacturing process or systems experience
Project management experience or supporting projects in a complex environment, driving process improvement activities, leading Testing, Data Migration, Cutover, Training or Business Change Management
Proven experience in Data analysis, integration, harmonisation, cleansing and enriching based on system and process drivers
Reporting Dashboard design and implementation through tools such as Qlik Replicate, Cloud based, Tableau for complex operations
Good networking, communication, influencing, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
Working with, creating and delivering content to, a broad range of stakeholders from end users through to senior decision makers
Ability to read, understand and use metrics to drive change
IT Desktop skills including collaborative and planning tools
Experience or knowledge of SAP, particularly EWM, or other WMS, implementations or operational usage
