This is an opportunity to join the national team helping to deliver the England Coast Path (ECP). It is a very exciting time with lots of activity in the area teams and local authorities focussed on establishing the path on the ground and celebrating the opening of new stretches of path. You will play a very important part in advising colleagues on coordinating launches, ensuring our information on gov.uk is accurate and working with Defra press office to help them make the most of media opportunities. You will also provide support to the ECP Celebration and Engagement Project Manager to help them coordinate a celebration of the Coast and Coastal National Trails. The role also provides an opportunity to contribute to wider programme delivery and support the programme manager during this important phase. The job requires an eye for detail and project management skills.
Key Tasks
ECP Delivery
Oversee the delivery of the ECP communication strategy and maintain up to date Lines to Take and Key messages.Work with ECP hub teams, gov.uk team and Defra to facilitate the publication of ECP information, reports and maps on Gov.uk and ensure it is up to date and accurate. Chair the monthly Publications and Web update meeting.Keep the Activity planner up to date and maintain national and regional links with the Defra press office.Provide advice and support to hub teams as they launch new stretches of the ECP.Work with Defra communications team and gov.uk team to ensure they are briefed and aware of communication opportunities.Chair the monthly Coastal Access Stakeholder and Communications working group.Maintain and support the ECP communication links network that brings a representative of each hub together to share case studies, good practice, creative ideas and ensure we make the most of the ECP delivery story.Provide regular articles for NE intranet.Keep the Statutory Access team updated on ECP activity.Draft and update communication/press release templates and guidance notes as required.ECP Celebration and Engagement
