In this role, you will investigate, obtain and prepare reports on traffic related matters in line with legislation, force policies and procedures and make recommendations in order to assist the decision maker on appropriate disposal of case papers. The post holder will also be required to attend court to give evidence in relation to prosecution.
You will be educated to A-Level standard or equivalent with proven customer service skills and the ability to engage effectively with people at all levels. The ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure is essential as well as the ability to learn and use IT packages effectively. You will be able to prioritise and manage your own time, have recent and relevant experience in an investigator type role together with an understanding of relevant legislation.
You must have the capability to travel to different locations across the force; due to this a full UK driving licence is considered essential.
The working pattern is 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, based on a two-week working pattern of:
Week 1, Monday – Friday, 09.00 – 17.00
Week 2, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 07:00 to 15.00 and Tuesday/Friday 07:00 -14:30.
