As an Environment Officer you'll be actively involved in regulating activities across a range of sectors, including the water industry and agriculture. You will help ensure sites remain in compliance and take enforcement action against those that fail to comply. The role will also require you to respond to pollution incidents and investigate illegal activities during and outside office hours.This is a challenging front line role and you may need to deal with situations that could be hostile and confrontational. Good communication, influencing and persuading skills are therefore essential.Whatever the sector, whatever the location, the focus remains the same; getting the best outcomes for people and wildlife ensuring that local communities we serve get the best possible service from us.
