This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside our dynamic FCRM Operations team across Yorkshire. You will be self-motivated and enthusiastic with a natural ability to communicate at all levels. You will build on existing and form new relationships with our framework of contractors. Optimising the delivery of our £14 million maintenance programme, identifying efficiencies and maximising opportunities to help us achieve our sustainability and carbon targets.Your duties will include, but are not limited to:• Reviewing the annual maintenance programme of works to optimise delivery, whilst ensuring our assets reduce flood risk to the communities they protect.• Collating and reviewing site information.• Reviewing existing contract arrangements and developing them to ensure they meet our future requirements (sustainability & carbon reduction).• Be available to complete site visits at our many and varied river and coastal flood defence assets.• Work with managers to ensure the most efficient use of our field teams as they operate, respond, and maintain assets.• Writing, evaluating, negotiating, and administering contracts with framework suppliers for the delivery of maintenance programmes• Assessing and assuring the standard of work & health, safety & wellbeing of our field teams and suppliers. You’ll be confident, organised, and able to demonstrate a great track record of delivering projects / programmes of work. Most importantly is your energy, enthusiasm and willingness to learn combined with strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and excellent communication skills.Knowledge and/or demonstrable experience of the following are essential:• A full driving licence.• Managing health, safety and wellbeing.• Competent in the use of Microsoft Office.• Excellent time management and organisational skills and be able to demonstrate delivery milestones through clear reporting.• Be flexible and able to adapt to changing situations and workloads.• Managing contractors and/or NEC contract management.• Knowledge/experience of Asset Management.• Experience of managing a programme of work/projects.• Contract and/or construction management experience or substantial relevant experience with the commitment to secure such.• Experience in technical leadership & people management skills.
