The Fisheries, Biodiversity and Geomorphology team are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Fisheries Technical Specialist, based in Norfolk, who can provide expert advice, guidance, training and technical support across the Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk area.You will demonstrate effective leadership to Fisheries Officers within the team, providing a technical steer around fisheries management advice, partnership working and incident management planning and response. You will also manage and provide specialist input into a range of projects. You will represent the area at a national level, reporting performance as required and disseminating information to ensure teams are kept up to date. You will take responsibility for specific and high-profile areas of work, anticipate the issues and ensure decisions are made on sound technical grounds.This role is as much about working with people as it is about working with nature.
