We are looking for great people to join us in our Asset Management Teams.You'll be working with one of the three teams to cover the East Anglia Great Ouse Catchment Area. Your work will protect communities from flooding by repairing and maintaining flood risk assets. The work is varied, you'll help manage our asset data to ensure it is of the best quality and can be relied upon to inform our future investment programme.Core aspects of the role include:• Asset Management • Planning and specifying routine and reactive maintenance• Producing pre-construction information and supervising delivery of maintenance• Responding to customer enquiries• Contributing to incident preparednessYou'll use your excellent communication skills to liaise with a range of internal colleagues, external organisations and with customers who require help or information from us.The role will involve working from home, the office (Bedford, Brampton, Ely or King’s Lynn) and site work in the Great Ouse Catchment area. The Environment Agency take part in incident response and a key part of this role will be assisting this. We’re looking for project management skills and/or asset management experience, preferably with relevant work experience in the water environment.•Comfortable working within a team and on your own, able to manage your own workload and work to priorities.•Good communication skills are essential as is having time management skills and being able to work to deadlines and quality standards.•Able to use risk assessments in order to prioritise and manage outcomes.•An appetite to learn and work proactively with others to solve problems and achieve outcomes.•Experience of using the Environment Agency’s Asset Information Management System (AIMS) is beneficial, but there will be opportunities to develop.•Expertise in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel is expected along with a track record of providing excellent customer service.•Knowledge of health, safety, wellbeing and sustainability.
