The Framework Support Officer (FSO) role requires collaborative relationships with colleagues across the Environment Agency, and with our Framework Partners. The role holder must be able to demonstrate competency in the monitoring, analysing and maintenance of commercial documents and data and in efficient reporting to both internal and external customers. The FSO is required to ensure that the team’s document management, framework and performance data is up to date and accurate, is processed efficiently and, where appropriate, that payments are made on time. Monitoring and reporting on the Contract Assurance and Framework Management Team’s budgetary performance will be a key element of this work. The management of contracts will also be a responsibility for the role.The FSO will be responsible for ensuring that critical information on our frameworks (e.g. framework risk, issue and configuration logs, framework manuals) and supplier performance is collated and reported and will support team members to ensure that commercial information is shared and new initiatives are embedded both internally and with our partner organisations. Attention to detail and accuracy are critical in this post. • Must be able to work on own initiative and demonstrate the ability to work flexibly within the service. • Frequent contact with people within and outside the team to provide or obtain information is required, so good written and verbal communication skills are needed.• Ability to accurately analyse and interpret information is essential.• Prior experience in a project management and framework management environment is desirable.• Must be able to solve problems by considering different methods within the guidance of defined procedures and frameworks and deciding the most appropriate to use.• Prioritising and delivering work within a programme and project management framework to time, cost and quality. Focussing on the needs of customers, both internal and external, to deliver the best overall environmental outcome.• Developing solutions to issues and problems through identifying relevant information, careful interpretation, analysis and diagnosis.
