Our Analytical Services Team are at the forefront of analytics and innovation, creating a ‘Centre of Excellence’ which produces data assets to support decision making across the Force.We are looking for a Performance Manager to develop and create a culture of support, encouragement, accountability and engagement, ensuring that the Force’s efforts and resources are focused in the right areas. As our Performance Manager, you will deliver an effective performance management system and framework across the organisation, ensuring that operational activity is evaluated to understand its effectiveness and impact. Working across all departments and at all levels, you will help stakeholders to understand their performance responsibilities by identifying the key root causes that impact performance, as well as where to go for help in delivering their responsibilities, in line with the performance framework. Externally, you will build effective working relationships with statutory and regulatory bodies, such as the Home Office and HMICFRS, in relation to performance management and reporting.Implementing your existing knowledge of data architecture, infrastructure and analytical tools, such as Power BI, you will lead a team of Data Insight Analysts, overseeing the generation of useful, accurate and informative analysis, utilising existing force assets and data systems. Using your understanding of technology and how it can be leveraged, you will support the wider organisation in its aim to be data-driven, promoting the utilisation and cultural shift to self-serve capabilities. In addition, you will ensure continuous improvement across the department by identifying and reviewing best in class analytical functions, in and outside of policing.As part of your application, you must provide both a CV and Supporting Statement, stating how you meet the essential/desirable criteria as listed in the job description.
