Do you have a flair and passion for food?Are you an experienced Head Chef looking for your next challenge?Leicestershire Police are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and hardworking Head Chef on a permanent basis to work in their Canteen based at Force Headquarters, Leicester. You will take responsibility for the preparation and production of all food services and menus within the force, including events and other catering occasions.With your experience of working in a busy customer service environment and kitchen environment, you will manage the day to day activities of the Chef and Catering Assistants, ensuring a focussed and effective team are working together to achieve the daily activities.You will take control of the food costs, budgets and work closely with the catering manager to ensure that you have all the food and supplies you need to successfully run the busy kitchen.You will be able to bring your creativity and skills to a role where you will play a vital part in the success of our force.This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday, between 6am and 2:30pm. You must have a flexible approach to working hours with ability to work occasional weekends and evenings as well as occasional short notice operational feeding demands.
