We have embraced it at scale within engineering Agile projects, as part of the ReFocus Transformation Programme, and it is within this framework that we are looking to recruit Lead Agile Coaches.
As a Lead Agile Coach, you will be responsible for supporting the transformation of a function to agile ways of working. You will lead and coach around agile principles, ways of working, mindset, and behaviours. YOU WILL ALSO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Leading a group of Agile Coaches to help transform either a unit or a vehicle programme. Once the organisation has reached a transformed stage, ensure future evolutions do not go backward but keep increasing organisational agility. Leading and coaching around agile principles, ways of working, mindset, and behaviours –Agile principles over and above specific Agile methods. Ensuring there is appropriate Agile team onboarding and training in the part of the organisation assigned to you. Working with Squad Members, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and management at every level to help them understand their roles and providing specific coaching to them. Ensuring teams work accordingly to the company evolving operating model. Participating to the creation and delivery of Agile training for a range of roles, levels, and stakeholders. Foster collaboration in the organisation. Identifying and helping remove organisational waste. Collaborating with other Lead Agile Coaches to align on and promote companywide positive changes to increase organisational agility. Engaging with enterprise leaders to define appropriate programme launch activities
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Knowledge of Scaled methodologies (E.g., LeSS, Nexus, Scum@Scale, SAFe…) and tools (Jira, Jira portfolio) alongside strong verbal and writing skills, presentation skills and ability to motivate teams in Agile ways of working.
In depth senior experience in an Agile Coaching / Agile transformation role, including transformation activities beyond teams coaching. Experience as Lead Agile Coach or Enterprise Agile Coach much appreciated. Demonstrable Agile Delivery of several Projects / Products. Stakeholder Management and ability to work with both teams and senior management and be influential in a large organisation. Ability to coach the future coaches and train the future trainers. Experience of Change Management in general and Agile transformations. Supporting programmes and functions adopt agile ways or working. Ability to appreciate and manage challenges and opportunities occurring in an Agile transformation involving large groups of teams in a complex environment. Experience of working with distributed teams (outsourced, remote site). Familiarity of working with technical teams and business teams. Ability to show leadership in addressing required cultural change at various organisational layers. Experience using Agile tools such as JIRA/Portfolio for JIRA. Sound experience of using data to make decisions. E.g but not limited to Burn down charts, maturity indicators, etc. Able to help teams increase transparency as well as helping leaders increase psychological safety within the organisation We expect the person in this role to have done it and lived it before they teach it.
