Due to the continued expansion of our team, a vacancy for a Lecturer in Adult Nursing has arisen within the School of Nursing and Healthcare Leadership.
We are looking for a forward-thinking nurse who is committed to the highest standards of education, practice, and research to join a dynamic team delivering undergraduate and postgraduate nursing education. Working within the adult nursing team, and the School as a whole, you will contribute to the teaching, delivery, development, research, and administrative support of undergraduate and taught postgraduate nursing programmes, and other related programmes. You will provide academic and pastoral support to students within the School to equip them with the values, knowledge and skills that will prepare them to excel in their future nursing career. You will contribute to the student recruitment and admissions of the Nursing Programmes. Please see the job description for more details.
You will have NMC registration with a first degree in a related subject, and clinical experience of adult acute care nursing. Experience of working in higher education is desirable, along with a teaching qualification and PhD or equivalent. A commitment to undertaking a PhD and membership of the Higher Education Academy is an essential requirement of the role – we will support you to achieve these if not already held. The successful candidate should demonstrate a practical awareness of current developments in adult nursing with the ability to facilitate the creation and maintenance of a range of links between courses and the health care sector.
