The Assistant Project Manager role is based within our Mission Systems business area.

The difference our new Assistant Project Manager will make As an Assistant Project Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You'll play a key role in the delivery of support to a number of key Royal Navy assets, including the Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers and Type 45 Destroyers. The role will also support growing our contracts and building strong customer relationships, implementing our ambitious strategy.
Day to day, you’ll support the Project Manager in the delivery of several complex packages of engineering activity, providing in-service support to the Royal Navy’s Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers and T45 Class Destroyers. Work packages range from the production of Safety Cases for the systems on board, through to equipment upgrades and improvements.

Essential experience • Ideally APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) [formerly known as APMP] and is a Member of the APM • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office • Good knowledge of project tools and techniques including Microsoft Project (MS), ERP Systems and financial and resource planning tools • Knowledge of project management methodologies and working practices • Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail and accuracy of data, as well as proactive, dedicated and an inquisitive work ethic
