We are seeking a Manager to help lead the West Midlands team across the business to deliver high quality outcomes across our organisational remit.

As a Natural England Manager, you would be expected to lead by example to ensure Natural England, as a Non-Departmental Public Body (NDPB), adheres to its obligations by providing expert advice and guidance.

Line manage a number of staff, ensuring wellbeing and inclusion are at the heart of all our work; providing timely feedback; and proactively managing the career development of ourOversee corporate assurance, H&S, workforce planning, learning and development, risk and budget management across the West Midlands team. Senior Responsible Officer responsibility for delivery of team chargeable work. Facilitate effective working relationships across the business, and with partners and stakeholders. Demonstrating excellent communication skills tailored as appropriate to the different audiences.Drive continuous improvement, spotting opportunities to create efficiencies in how we deliver our work.Set and drive the Team strategy and direction using your professional judgement and evidenced by the management information available toSet clear plans for Team delivery in line with the Team Plan and Natural England's priorities.Consider how staff resource should be deployed to meet targets in line with the capacity and capability of Team members
A driving licence is highly desirable as many roles will require travel for site visits or partnership meetings that may not be accessible by public transport.
