Reports to: Finance Manager – Trading & Operations

Location: Sunnyhills Road, Leek, Staffordshire, ST13 5SP

Hours: Monday- Friday, 08:45-17:00 (36.25 hours per week)

Salary: £25,000-£35,000

Role Overview

Our Local Master Data team is responsible for all aspects of local item data management within Ornua Foods, including product structures, standard costing and change control process. You’ll be taking the lead to ensure our high standards of data stewardship and governance are maintained as well as promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

As a subject matter expert, you’ll know about master data and care about its quality, ensuring controls are robust and helping fix issues. You’ll have a customer service mindset, engaging positively with business stakeholders to understand their needs. With a hands-on approach, you’ll be happy supporting day-to-day tasks and confident in leading ad-hoc projects.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Working with Local Master Data Administrator to deliver all local master data requirements across the business, with specific regard to item data, product structure management and standard costs Sharing workload of day-to-day local data processing tasks and provide absence cover to ensure business continuity of Master Data function Responsible for maintenance & governance of all local master data for items, including corrections, data cleansing and managing change per established change control processes Investigating and resolving data and system related queries and collaborating with relevant teams to implement fix as required Full understanding and governance of finance standard costs, including ERP system processes, managing framework, maintaining accuracy and answering queries Assist Finance Costing process with final stage checks Lead and co-ordinate the budget process within the Trading & Operations Finance Team, with regard to standard costs and the underlying master data framework; full co-ordination with IT and Finance Teams, input and processing of standard costs to ERP system and ensuring accuracy of all underlying master data Manage ad-hoc data requests and ongoing development of reporting to support Continuous improvement of local master data processes and related systems Ensure training & process documentation are kept updated Regular engagement with business stakeholders to ensure master data processes continue to meet the needs of the business and manage change as needed Maintain open and positive communication with Global Master Data team Able to lead local master data projects & business changes as required Support Finance Manager with relevant projects or other ad-hoc requirements

Key requirements

Experience working in Master Data environments and systems Experience of controls and compliance Numerate with high level of attention to detail and accuracy Project & service leadership Technical/analytical mindset, able to organise & manipulate data Competent IT & system skills (Excel & Microsoft Office tools) Ability to plan and prioritise tasks effectively to meet service level agreements Excellent communicator with customer service mindset Able to manage and influence stakeholders across all functions and levels Enthusiastic, team player with a drive to get hands on

Whilst not essential, the following would be advantageous Finance background (eg. Systems or Cost Accounting) Experience within the food or manufacturing industry Previous experience of M3 or similar ERP system People leadership
