Merchandiser - North

Job at Well Pharmacy in Greater Manchester, M3 4LZ, England

Job Title: Merchandiser

Salary: Up to £32,000 (depending on experience) + Company Car

Contract: Permanent

Location: Field Based - UK (North West)

The Role:

The Merchandiser, is responsible for the implementation of retail standards across the Well Pharmacy portfolio, primarily driving sales in several pharmacies within an agreed timeframe. You will spend your time in pharmacies, working in a hands-on manner and coaching teams to improve their skills in OTC Stock System, merchandising and implement promotional campaigns. You must have a good understanding of the financial performance of the pharmacies in their portfolio and the factors which influence this, so that you can positively impact commercial performance. You will work closely with the Senior Operations Manager, Central Support and Field Management to agree their priorities and focus.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Safety, Quality and Standards

Works with the Pharmacists and their teams to ensure that their work complies with GPhC standards & requirements of the NHS contract

Operational

Effectively uses all available commercial information to assess performance and make decisions Drives standards of product presentation and on shelf availability in our pharmacies Drives the delivery of the relevant KPIs through effective commercial management Supports the delivery of excellent standards through ensuring compliance with all processes & procedures Monitors competitor activity to look for opportunities to grow market share Participates in or contributes to other projects & activities as required by the business Create a Best in Class ‘Look and Feel’ in our Pharmacies

Ensures that the team are able to actively promote the benefits of our products to customers and patients

Actively supports performance management through providing effective coaching & feedbackEffectively trains & coaches the team so that they are empowered to achieve the required level of competenceEnsures that everyone in the team is clear on how their role supports the delivery of excellent merchandising standards through regular, clear & effective communicationProvides timely and effective feedback to managers regarding the performance of the team Constantly seeks to develop their own skills & competence and builds an environment of ongoing learning for all team members Feeds back insights and competitor activity to the commercial team
