The Mobile Architect role is based within our Babcock Corporate Services (BCS) business unit

Babcock Corporate Services (BCS) is a global function, with our largest site being Lakeside in Portsmouth, but we operate from multiple sites around the world. BCS supplies and operates all IT, security, procurement, and finance Shared Services. We are embedded alongside the operations that we serve, enabling us to maintain close working relationships that support delivery to our customers. We drive standardisation, simplification and automation across Babcock, to help generate sustainable value for the group and our external customers

The role

The difference our new Mobile Architect will make

As a Mobile Architect, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will assist solution architects and customers in explaining and applying enterprise solutions on mixed mobile platforms and assist the operational teams in performing the setup and troubleshooting mobile applications

Day to day, you’ll ensure standardisation of mobile solutions, structures and solutions architecture across the business. You will review code, project output and ensure compliance to industry best practices, developing the technology standards for both mobile hardware and software, to include architecture, MDM/MAM, development platform, design, implementation and testing

Essential experience

Apple (IOS), Android, Blackberry, Intune applications Mobile Application Management (MAM) TOGAF / ITIL qualification preferred Previous experience as a mobile specialist, mobile analyst, or system administrator Project Management qualification is desirable You will need to achieve ‘SC’ security clearance for this role
