As a Naval Nuclear Watchkeeping Instructor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Providing specialist engineering and nuclear expertise to the training design process. You’ll have the opportunity to support the development of the recently established Babcock Skills business, which provides a wide range of engineering training courses.
Day to day, you’ll be working with our Astute-class Training Service team at Babcock Marine Training Limited (BMTL), to help train the current and next generation of Submarine Service engineering professionals.

• Qualification as a Category A or B Watchkeeper in the Royal Navy Submarine Service • Comprehensive knowledge and recent experience of operating Naval Nuclear Steam Raising Plant • Comfortable working both autonomously and collaboratively • Engaging and effective communicator • Defence Train the Trainer qualification is a bonus but not essential • You must hold or have the ability to obtain SC security clearance
