The role As an Operational Planner, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be responsible for planning in activity on various military platforms and equipment, across multiple sites, and engaging with production teams to ensure the work is completed on time. Day to day, you’ll plan in MRO (maintenance, repair, and operations) activity based on capacity, capability, and material availability. Where applicable expedite resource availability and material shortfalls to meet both the customer and business priorities
Respond to new demands promptly and efficiently, creating plans for production from customer demands Ensure amendments to plans are not implemented until checks of capability, capacity and materials have been factored in Develop excellent and effective communication lines with the site supply chain, P&SC (procurement & supply chain) and operations teams Build close working relationships with operational, and support functions (e.g. central order team, operational planning managers, customer services, the hub) to deliver a joined up service.
Essential experience of the Operational Planner:
In depth knowledge of capacity and material planning including resource and capability restraints SAP knowledge is desirable Ability to relate to both client and customer needs at all levels with respect to operational delivery requirements adhering to agreed process Ability to make prioritisation decisions with limited resourcesThis is a full-time hybrid role based in Warminster – two days a week working remotely.
