Cadet Leader Volunteer Opportunity.
The closing date for this post is 12 noon on Thursday 30th June.
The cadet programme is part of the wider Citizens in Policing Programme (CiP) with a vision to connect communities with policing and policing with communities. It is designed to specifically build bridges between young people, the community and the Police.
The programme offers young people aged between 13yrs and 16yrs from all parts of the community regardless of educational needs, challenging behaviour or disability the opportunity to gain a practical understanding of policing and to develop their spirit of adventure and good citizenship.
The cadets learn about the law, police procedures and specialist roles e.g. dog handlers, traffic officers and high tech crime. They take part in community and charity events such as Remembrance Sunday. Sport, team building activities and outward bound courses are also included within the programme. These activities take place in a safe environment through a structured programme of lessons delivered by a Police Officer supported by Police Community Support Officers and Police Support volunteers.
Please find attached the role profile.
