Waste Regime Operational Services (WROS) plan, monitor and deliver compliance and enforcement activity for the following areas of waste regulation; Separate Collections, Material Facilities, Packaging, Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), Batteries, International Waste Shipments. The roles also work with colleagues across the business to deliver Waste Regulatory Reform. You will be responsible for recommending and implementing approaches in how we deliver our regulatory activity to maximise environmental outcomes and respond effectively to any issues.As a technical expert, building knowledge and resilience, you will work across operations and Environment and Business to ensure people and processes are aligned to deliver our regulatory outcomes. You will be accountable for the delivery of regulatory activities and successfully leading colleagues in delivering these outcomes to deadlines. You will be required to attend and lead internal/external meetings with stakeholders then subsequently share knowledge/information to others. You will have excellent written and oral communication skills. You will be able to influence and negotiate with a wide range of internal or external customers. Experience of contract/contractor management is an advantage for the Waste Repatriations role. You’ll have exceptional interpersonal skills; you will be assertive, decisive, persuasive, and resilient. You will be a strong team player.
