The Procurement Team are looking to recruit a Procurement Support Officer on either a 37 hours, full time, permanent basis or a 21 hour part-time permanent basis.The procurement Team support the force and the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) in securing and managing a range of high value tenders and contracts. Their aim is to gain the best value money for the people of Derbyshire.As a Procurement Support Officer, you will provide administrative support to the Strategic Procurement team covering systems, data and transactional purchasing. You will assist with the development and maintenance of Procurement department systems and databases, for example contracts register and procurement pipeline. You will also be required to undertake studies in line with the professional development scheme offered by the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS), achieving the Diploma (Level 4) in Procurement and Supply. Funding will be provided, covering the cost of the course and professional fees to enable you to attain the Professional Diploma of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and SupplyA clear commitment must be made to undertake the necessary study. Therefore, if you choose to stop studying or leave the organisation within 12 months of completing the qualification, the Force would seek to recover the costs of the training on a sliding scale.In addition to the academic training, ‘on the job’ training will be provided to cover practical aspects of the public sector procurement role.
