WHAT TO EXPECT
An experienced Product Owner is required for a variety of Electric Drive Unit (EDU) projects being delivered for Jaguar Land Rover. We are looking for people driven by a passion for Agile, product ownership and managing the delivery of multiple products.
You will form an essential part of a collaborative, iterative and agile process within a multi-disciplined team helping deliver best in class EDUs. This role provides a unique opportunity to help define, support and grow an entirely new agile approach to EDU development within Jaguar Land Rover. Reporting directly to the EDU system Attribute Manager, you will be a valued member of the team, contributing to the strategic direction and projects delivered. We're looking for you to take the product ownership for all high performance Jaguar Land Rover EDUs.
We’re also keen for you to mentor and share your agile skills and knowledge with other members of the scrum teams.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
You will need to be responsible for ownership, definition, maintenance, and prioritisation of the product backlog to meet the business’ needs. There will be many occasions that you will be working with the wider Jaguar Land Rover business and customers to help define the product vision.
To facilitate agreements and trade-offs in the product backlog. Overseeing all development stages of the product will be essential.
You will need to be able to remove any impediments for the successful delivery of the defined product backlog. Be the primary liaison for the product to the wider business. You must be able to evaluate and deploy strategies for the product to guide through the product lifecycle.
Knowledge, skills and experience
Essential:
EDU experience
Good Systems engineer understanding
Experience in product ownership and project delivery through development squads
Demonstrable experience working in a product owner role alongside software and hardware development teams
Successfully applied Agile for product ownership
Experience with working across organisational silos and breaking down barriers to successful product ownership
Understanding of high-quality user stories and how to drive to a satisfactory MVP
An adaptable and pragmatic approach and a curious mind, continually asking ‘why’
Independent mindset with an appreciation of what ‘better’ looks like – able to suggest improvements to existing products, processes, or ways of working, or even new products
