Production IT & Digital Plant Leader

WHAT YOU WILL DO

As we continue to increase our production of heating solutions, we have created an exciting new opportunity for a Production IT & Digital Plant Leader who will report to the Head of Engineering. In this role you will lead a team of engineers, collaborate across functions, from production, quality, logistics and maintenance. This interaction will be within the manufacturing plant and our staff across Europe. The successful candidate will develop, own, and implement the plant digital road map, ensuring our production IT improvement projects across the site are successful. You will develop the MES software package to manage process control across the production process. Work with our production IT specialists on NPI project and our process engineers to implement new products to existing and new production lines. Ensure stakeholder satisfaction maintaining system uptime and provide robust fit for purpose systems. Rollout Group production IT systems to Implement and maintain internationally recognised standards for systems Cyber security. Work cross functional with business stakeholders to ensure proposed projects are in line with the company strategies and development needs. Communicate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure software products and services.

WHAT YOU BRING ALONG

Previous experience leading a team of a production IT Engineers or Manufacturing Execution Systems Engineers is an essential requirement. Trained as a minimum to Core 1 and Core 2 level in LabVIEW and ideally to Core 3 Developer level. Have previous experience in a similar managerial role with a track record of success. A relevant software Engineering qualification and / or experience of control systems engineering is also desirable. An in-depth knowledge of Manufacturing engineering Systems (MES) and a knowledge of assembly processes. You should possess a practical approach to problem solving and be analytical with experience of robust data driven decisions. Experience of Microsoft Windows 10 Operating System, Labview, Visual basic, and database record / storage software systems is required. An understanding of network management and troubleshooting (TCP/IP and WAN/LAN/Wi-Fi /Ethercat)
