The Team plays a critical role in planning, monitoring and delivery of the Flood Risk and Water Resources capital investment programmes in Thames Area. The FCRM 6yr capital programme, reduces the risk of flooding to our communities and contributes to the Environment Agency's national target of properties better protected.Working across internal and external teams you will improve programme data, it’s quality, assurance, review and analysis. You'll be organised and have excellent attention to detail to ensure our work is delivered to a high standard. You'll be a self-starter and a quick-learner with a strong customer-focus. You'll be able to work as part of a team and independently prioritising an interesting and varied workload. You will be interested in the environment and want to make a difference. The role involves · Ensuring projects report on their benefits and outcomes · Collecting, reporting and analysing financial and timeline data on projects and programmes · Developing and improving data quality across projects through current and new systems · Supporting and embedding new ways of working across teams· Generating programme analysis for Area boards and senior management for decision making · Working with internal and external partners to adhere to these standards · Good communication to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and partners · Sound programme or project management understanding and skills · Proven delivery of work by planning, tracking, gathering, analysing and maintaining data/information · Experience in generating reports to enable decision making · Excellent Microsoft Office skills, knowledge of Microsoft Project on Line and enthusiasm to learn new systems and embed them into standard ways of working · Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with a focus on continuous improvement An understanding of flood and coastal risk management would be useful, but the key things we are looking for are transferrable skills, energy, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn.
