The Role:

The Molecular Biology department has an exciting opportunity for a Project Co-ordinator to join the team. The Project Co-ordinator is responsible for administration of Molecular Biology projects in a capacity which includes the collection, management and distribution of project control information. This function includes both the management of Client studies and internal process improvement projects. The Project Co-ordinator will be responsible for effective communication of schedules/progress of Client studies and projects with Scientists and laboratory management. Communication with cross-functional teams, such as Project Management, Development Services, Sales/Account Management and other Operations teams will be essential to maintaining accurate, up-to-date schedules. These schedules must be dynamic and therefore the successful candidate must possess strong organisational and communication skills.

Duties include:

To liaise with project management, account managers, development services and operations scientific staff to monitor the progress and deliverables for each project To liaise with continuous improvement and digitization project leads on process improvement efforts To manage project timelines and communicate any timeline risk or misses to appropriate parties To manage deliverables for each proposal milestone and ensure that any project scope creep is documented and actioned appropriately Assist in the creation and management of Molecular Biology team lab schedule(s) for both Client testing and process improvement projects Work with laboratory management to review resource needed for projects To ensure that routine Client testing is scheduled appropriately to meet on time delivery expectations Attendance at all team meetings

Who you are:

BA/BSc in a scientific discipline with proven relevant experience Experience with relevant laboratory practices, techniques, equipment and materials Strong organizational skills Professional conduct Intermediate skills in applicable computer programs including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Excellent oral and written communication skills, both formal and informal that have been demonstrated through presentations/seminars, oversight of projects, etc. Ability to work in cross functional teams as well as independently Demonstrates a high level of initiative and leadership capabilities
