We are seeking a Project Manager to help us deliver our ambitions targets to improve our water environment. You will be delivering and supporting river restoration and other projects that seek to improve the environment. A passion for improving our rivers and delivering river restoration and improvement projects is essential. Knowledge and understanding of water, land management and conservation issues would be an advantage. The post will help deliver the teams programme and project management work and you will be working closely with our Catchment Coordinators in their work with our partners to help them deliver their projects. You will also help provide assurance to the team and wider business.Specifically you will;• Delivery of the Areas Medium Term Plans through the delivery of river restoration projects with effective assurance and auditing.• Maintain up to date information on the quality, cost and timeliness of in year projects.• Support the delivery of individual projects the team is delivering.• Engage with internal teams and external partners to help deliver (and our partners) projects.• Provide support to Catchment Coordinators in the development of business cases, project proposals and in engagement with partners. You will be able to demonstrate some or all of the following:• Good people and project management skills. An ability to work flexibly responding to competing demands in a challenging but rewarding workload environment;• Experience of delivering river restoration or similar types of projects that seek to improve the water environment.• A proven ability to achieve results and proactively solve problems;• Effective influencing and negotiation skills;• Excellent communication and networking skills;• A positive caring attitude with an ability to contribute to a diverse and inclusive work culture;
