This is an exciting opportunity to become central to the delivery of the Environment Agency’s Natural Capital and Ecosystem Assessment (NCEA) Programme. This programme is at the forefront of a new evidence capability aimed at delivering the needs of the 25 Year Environment Plan and natural capital assessments. Working closely with the Workstream Lead and the project manager, who will be responsible for delivery across the operation workstream. The project support officer roles will help to develop and drive the delivery of Environment Agency’s NCEA workstreams, benefits and outcomes. You will work closely with others from across the Environment Agency (EA). These roles require an organised mind, an eye for detail; an ability to manage delivery to time, cost and quality; an ability to work well with technical and scientific staff; good people skills. This is a great opportunity to be part of a programme that will help bring about real change in environmental management and decision making; and in working with a range of colleagues and partners across the Defra family and beyond. You should:• have the ability to work well as part of a dispersed team• have a focus on quality and attention to detail• have evidence of customer focus and good organising skills• have evidence of building good relationships and working in partnership• have evidence of delivery to time and expected standards• would desirably have some technical/scientific knowledge and be able to work well with technical staff
