About the Role

This is great opportunity to join a creative, proactive and successful team. The Recruitment Support Officer is a new role and the successful candidate will work closely with HR colleagues to support the provision of a seamless and joined up end to end recruitment service to business areas.

As Recruitment Support Officer, you will assist in guiding candidates and internal stakeholders through the recruitment process to ensure People Group secure the best talent available. There will be opportunity for you to contribute to the development of a People Group Recruitment Strategy covering attraction, application, onboarding and retention. You will work closely with business areas to understand and support their recruitment requirements.

This is a fast-paced, challenging role that requires a highly proactive and collaborative approach to the work and provides the job holder with a high level of autonomy. You will be a self-motivated individual, with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills with an ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Support delivery of an end to end resourcing service, including candidate attraction, retention and onboarding;Support administration of the recruitment process, including advertising vacancies, processing applications, scheduling interviews, recording outcomes and management of candidate feedback;Be the People Group subject matter expert for all things resourcing, including management of the online recruitment portal OLEEO;Support engagement activity with candidates held in reserve, to promote a positive impression of People Group;Continually seek to improve recruitment processes to enhance both the candidates’ and hiring manager’s experience and to improve recruitment management information such as time to hire and acceptance rates;Support initiatives to increase candidate diversity;Work collaboratively with the team and key stakeholders in the department and other organisations;Support other areas of work within the People and Capability Team, including the delivery of the People Group People Plan;make decisions and plans based on insight and evaluation;maintain various HR systems and databases with accurate and up to date information to enable effective audit, collation of management information and reporting;work with the team to support the forecast of future requirements and provide effective planning to manage those requirements;

The post holder will

have experience of supporting people projects;have excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to deal effectively with colleagues at all levels in the group and build established relationships;be effective at prioritising their own work and that of the team;have excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and an ability to work under pressure;be a role model for the Department’s values;have strong planning, organisational and people skills, including delivering communication products to tight deadlines;be able to work under pressure, manage competing priorities and changing deadlines.
