The role is responsible for developing new business opportunities for Emerson’s SYSS (Systems & Software Solutions) the West Region of the UK. Utilising the full SYSS platforms, this role will strive to make progress in new accounts and industry sectors. They will own the development of a new business pursuit plan, win strategies, win themes and penetration plans and establish strong internal relationships to facilitate achieving success. The position is home-based and will see our new partner travelling frequently across the dedicated area to manage the customer base. In this role you will: Identify new business opportunities, including new markets, clients and Industry partnerships. Build relationships with new clients, by understanding their business drivers, partnering with them to solve their needs and positioning Emerson solutions to help them achieve success. Collaborate with other Business Units to further develop pursuit strategies. Vigorously represent, promote and position Emerson SYSS within the area. Actively participating in networking opportunities such as governing bodies, industry conferences and events. Actively and efficiently utilise the available sales and support processes, including Solution Selling, Account Plans, CRM (Customer Relationship Management system) etc. Involvement in post pursuit analysis and review; makes recommendations for process improvement. Collaborate closely with SYSS proposal teams to lead customer opportunities within the region. Accurately Manage ‘Area new business plan’, regional forecasting and booking data for SYSS throughout the fiscal year. For this role you will need: Educated to Degree level in Engineering field or equivalent. Experience in consultative selling, with a proven track record of developing new business (via existing and new customers) and cultivating long term relationships in a B2B environment. Experience of developing successful cross-functional relationships internally, within a matrix organisation is advantageous. Demonstrate effective presentation and communication skills, both verbally and in writing. Demonstrate a pro-active, flexible and pragmatic approach. English fluency to business standard crucial. Computer literacy essential with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications [Excel, Work and PowerPoint] essential. Availability to travel frequently (over 70% of the time).
