About the role

Join the team of EMEA Risk Engineers on our journey to become the leading service provider in the commercial insurance world! You will closely interact with clients and brokers as the technical owner of all Risk Management property-related matters. With

a focus to our United Kingdom book-of-business and embedded in the EMEA business division, also with the opportunity to service internal and external customers in other regions. You will define a servicing strategy, engineer your own portfolio, achieving smart risk selection, growing a long-term profitable book-of-business. You will review, interpret and build your specialist opinion based on third party risk information, conduct prospect visits and develop a strategic servicing plan for our customers.

You will also lead your own field-engineering visits, set priorities and targets for risk improvement and partner with our clients to develop a long-term relationship. You will serve as the account engineer and based on your skills will also conduct loss prevention visits for clients written out of other Swiss Re offices in the EMEA Region. You have a strong curiosity, learning new things every day and an affinity to look beyond, analyzing data and identifying trends? The team

As a member of our global Risk Engineering Services (RES) community, you will be fully embedded in the EMEA RES Team and play a significant role in the UK deal Team. Based on your skills, you will develop to become a specialist in dedicated core industries or subject matters. This includes driving various projects, initiatives, development and implementation of strategies, creating standard methodologies, guidelines or papers and industry updates or developing new innovative service offerings. Our highly agile set-up allows a huge degree of job diversity and development opportunities. Our dual approach of own and 3rd party (field engineering partners) site surveys gives us increased flexibility and an outstanding customer-focus.

About you

•Master or Bachelor degree in Engineering

•Property loss prevention background (>3 years at a reputable property risk engineering provider)

•Strong negotiation and presenting skills

•Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal

•Proficient digital literacy (e.g., Microsoft Office products, work with databases, data analytics) and ideally an affinity to digital solutions (technical savviness)

•Business sense and flexibility, self-managed, entrepreneurial attitude

•Phenomenal teammate

•Service mindedness for internal and external stakeholders

•Language skills: English (business fluent), other languages are an advantage

•Willingness to travel – mainly within Europe

•Driving license
