Applications are invited for the post of Witness Care Officer, within the Criminal Justice, Witness Care Unit based at Chorley. There are permanent and temporary post available. The temporary positions are temporary for 12 months. The purpose of this role is to maintain contact with victims and witnesses in order to improve the confidence and satisfaction they feel, whilst at the same time, bringing benefits for the Criminal Justice System as a whole, with fewer trials being ineffective because of witness difficulties.Further details of the requirements and duties of the post can be found on the attached Role Profile.
