Role overview:
Working as a key member of the Quality function, the Senior Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring total customer satisfaction by dealing with both internal and external customer concerns promptly, identifying root cause and instigating permanent corrective actions for both day to day Leading a team of Quality engineers, Quality Techs, Quality Operators and being first line liaison to the customer.
Main Responsibilities:
Liaising with the customer, suppliers, manufacturing and the program team on quality issues. Leading and giving direction to the Quality Engineers. Product and process support for all internal processes. Ensuring conformance to Lear and external, i.e. IATF standards Implementation and follow-up of containment activities. Problem resolution (Internal and External). New product introduction support following Glide Path timing Support for quality deliverables for new model launch Global 8D and PPS report writing. FMEA and control plan support. To ensure that all Quality, Environmental, and Health and Safety legislation are adhered to. To ensure all departmental procedures are adhered to. Consistently identify opportunities for improvement within the department and record all improvements. Providing feedback to the Plant Quality Manager
Key skills and Qualifications:
Automotive experience. MS Office – Word, Excel TS16949 System knowledge. Root cause analysis. 8D and PPS report writing. PPAP experience Experience of new model launch preferred Ability to motivate, develop and support their team Self-motivated and focused Excellent communication skills High attention to detail The ability to work with multiple programs and deadlines Influencing and Analytical skills Flexible approach Innovative and ability to use own initiative Ability to take full ownership of decisions and actions
