What to expect
Jaguar Land Rover is undergoing a business wide transformation programme. This will see Jaguar Land Rover right-size, repurpose and reorganise into a more agile operation. The intent of the programme is to empower employees to create and deliver at speed and with clear purpose.
This role sits in the Learning Academy and operates in an Agile methodology and mindset within the Capability and Technical Excellence team. You'll be responsible to engage in and with ‘Squads‘ (Scrum Teams) for the creation and engagement of new technical skills / learning solutions to deliver requirements which will support and enable our business transformation across the enterprise. Solutions may be created in-house, leverage existing capabilities, engaging with internal subject matter experts and/or in conjunction with external providers.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
You’ll have specific responsibilities in respect of supporting the engagement with stakeholders to review new learning requests via the power app and supporting the procurement of the learning with both new and established training providers. You’ll be responsible for seeking justification and approval of in-coming learning requests and supporting the appropriate purchasing process, as well as monitoring completion of contract delivery.
• Engage with stakeholders to request required quotes to allow procurement shopping carts to be raised and support with documentation for approval processes. • Raise and present Functional Chamber submission for items over pre-determined amount and report outcome • Confirm Supplier delivery where appropriate for the signing off of invoices • Supporting Academy Team with Purchasing queries and issues. • Refer quotes to purchasing to ensure value for money where appropriate. • Support justification of in-coming learning requests for established programmes. • Act as a conduit for Training requests between stakeholders and learning academy development processes • Monitor, track and report on Training Provider performance/customer satisfaction aligned to contract and Statement of work deliverables. Liaise with external parties and make recommendations for continuous improvement. • Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested from time to time.
What You’ll need
• Experience of working with external providers to deliver technical skills/learning solutions, identifying and supporting the selection of potential delivery partners. • Experience in developing justifications for technical skills / learning requirements. • Passionate about the value of capability development and being able to identify the essential elements that are required for impact. • Able to apply previous experience and knowledge to new situations, research issues, create innovative solutions, and deliver a robust end product or service. • A good understanding of providers of technical training. • Experience of working with multiple stake holders at all levels to build and deploy technical solutions. Confident to undertake conversations with subject matter experts and work in partnership. • Knowledgeable in Learning and Development methodologies (Eg competency frameworks, learning needs analysis, adult learning pedagogy, approaches to assessment and evaluation). • A working knowledge of UK academic qualification levels (2 to 7) • Degree qualified or equivalent experienceIT platforms
