WHAT TO EXPECT
In this role you will work as the key person to interact between the vehicle attribute teams and sub-system/component teams to deliver vertical isolation within the vehicle suspension systems. The role will work on technical de-composition & problem resolution to create compatible sub-system and component targets to deliver the vehicle level targets.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Liaise and arbitrate with attribute teams to deliver suspension system vertical isolation targets Interact cross functionally to ensure suspension system has entitlement to meet all vehicle level targets Ensure engineering accounts for platform/architecture bandwidths for robust delivery Work with all the stakeholders within the function, and for the content from outside functions Support of vehicle target decomposition vehicle to system for the function Support the generating of the system targets and sub-system targets cascade Key responsibility is balance of targets between function and attributes, either where there is conflict or to achieve best balance Leading vehicle suspension problem resolution root cause analysis Utilise system level CAE tools for early tuning Co-developing the non-geometric data to support suspension system tuning work Support the system analysis for variability for both CAE, rig testing and analysis of production vehicle build data Report suspension system targets status at regular Agile reviews Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested
WHAT YOU NEED
Knowledge, Skills and experience
Essential:
Previous experience Vehicle Suspension development Basic understanding of Vehicle Dynamics theory Experience 1D engineering tools Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred
Desirable:
Understanding of System Engineering and target decomposition Capability analysis and Minitab experience Competent Matlab user Multi-Body-Simulation experience
