Job Role

We're looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager (SCM) to join our National Careers Service team. You’ll support the network of Sub Contractors that we sub-contracts delivery of our employability contracts to. Along with our Sub Contractors we’ll provide a tailored employment support service to individuals to ensure no one is left behind on their journey to sustained employment. You’ll lead the organisation’s collaborative relationship with its Subcontracts directly or through the management of Supply Chain Leads. You’ll ensure that delivery is of a consistently high level for both quality and performance across the supply chain network. You’ll foster a culture of collaboration, both among Sub Contractors and between them and our own operational teams, ensuring, through the implementation of Partnership Boards and other forums, that the voice of Sub Contractor is heard, that the solutions to delivery challenges are co-designed, and that Sub Contractors benefit from the same opportunities for improvement as those which are presented to our own teams. Our ideal candidate will have experience in creating an environment in which a supply chain is enabled to make an outstanding contribution to organisational performance and in both setting strategic goals for a supply chain and managing individual supply chain partners to achieve those goals, and their underpinning KPIs. However we aren’t always looking for someone who ticks every single box we’re looking for someone who has great persuading and influencing skills. In return for your dedication, knowledge, and commitment, we’re offering a competitive salary range £48,800 to £60,000 p.a. (dependent on experience) with these great benefits:

Key Responsibilities

Foster an environment in which supply chain Sub Contractors feel fully engaged in a collaborative endeavour to achieve common goals. Lead a team of Supply Chain Leads and Co-ordinators in providing challenging and supportive supply chain management. Be responsible for embedding a Supply Chain Management Framework which details the expectations incumbent upon Sub Contrators, and Seetec Pluss, for the effective achievement of collaborative outcomes. Ensure that good practice is recognised and championed within Seetec Pluss’ supply chain and between Sub Contractors and Seetec Pluss’ own operations.

Skills and Experience


Experience of delivering services to meet contractual and quality standards. Fully IT literate in using a range of Microsoft Office programmes to include 365 products and modern digital technologies, e.g. Microsoft Teams. GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths at Grade C or above.


Knowledge of the Employability and Welfare to Work sector. CIPS Level 4/IoSCM Level 5 or equivalent. Understanding of ‘Risk Management’ processes. Understanding of applying Continuous Improvement methodologies. Knowledge of the local labour market and challenges of the job market. Full driving licence to enable deployment across a specified geographical area.
