The difference our new Supply Chain Specialist will make
As a Supply Chain Specialist, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This is a hands on, Contract facing role reporting into the Head of Procurement and Supply Chain.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the creation of supplier agreements, management of key supplier relationships and performance, business improvement as well as day to day activities. Supporting all supply chain activities in existing contracts within the RSME contract covering Project (construction), maintenance, services and training requirements.
The position would be an opportunity for a recent graduate to take a step in a thriving business operations environment. It would also be an opportunity for an individual with procurement buying experience to take a step up and progress in their career.
The following include some of the day to day duties for the role:
• Manage, maintain and complete due diligence against all vendors Creating monthly spend compliance reports & categorising spend profiles • Support contract tendering and implementation • Supplier Performance Management • Building strong operational relationships between procurement and wider business and Sector/ Group • Addressing all supplier / supply chain issues presented in the contracts within the line of business • Ensure that the governance process is followed; producing information as required • Responsible for the management of order commitments to suppliers ensuring budget and delivery dates are achieved; Dealing with issues that may arise; conducting Open Order Book reviews monthly with key/strategic supplier; • Provide management information and reporting as required/appropriate to support internal or external meetings

Essential experience
• Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills • Previous Procurement or Commercial or Finance experience • Competent with Microsoft office suite; in particular Microsoft Excel • Ability to interpret commercial information and identify options to aid management decisions • Administrative experience • Business or Financial Degree desirable but not essential
