About the role
This role, based in the UK, will provide technical and operational assistance to meet clients', intermediaries' and internal underwriting needs, enabling true portfolio underwriting.
In the role of Underwriting Analyst, your main responsibilities will include the following:
Working as an integral part of the team to partner and drive underwriting submissions, mid-term adjustments and renewals
Supporting the Underwriting team with renewal package preparation (deal analysis of renewal accounts) and endorsement triaging and preparation
Preparing and issuing documents (binders, policies, endorsements and certificates) to our brokers and customers
Collaborating with our centralised Technical Accounting team to follow up on outstanding premium positions and broker queries
Being front of house to own and resolve broker and customer-facing issue's while delivering a proactive and exceptional experience
Collaborate with brokers to ensure full data requirements received on new business, MTA's and renewals.
Working directly with external contacts to generate and retain customers
Promoting our products and services and being the go-to person for your partners
Developing a deep knowledge of processes, system touch-points, areas for potential defects, areas for future improvements and become a subject-matter-expert
Act as referral point for junior team members.

You will be joining the UK Operations team, having a variety of proficiencies, skills and experience, all committed to bring success to Swiss Re Corporate Solutions. In the role of Underwriting Analyst, you will work closely with the wider Operations teams in centralised and offshore locations, as well as your peers in other locations.
About you
Minimum of 3 years ' experience in commercial insurance either as underwriting support or insurance broker.
Positive 'can do' attitude with strong customer focus and service orientation
Good computer skills and knowledge of MS Office, MS Outlook and other applications;
Team-player, willingness to contribute actively to the overall team spirit
Strong communication skills and ability to maintain effective working relations with internal and external customers and colleagues;
Highly motivated individual who can work fast and think analytically, acting with a positive approach and proactive thinking;
Ability to handle multiple tasks;
Capacity to readily adapt to a changing and dynamic environment;
Demonstrate willingness to seek new knowledge and tasks, question current processes, and suggest improvements;
Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings, seminars, and programs to learn about new processes and guidelines, learn new skills, and stay updated with the team supported.
