We are seeking to appoint a Project Manager to support the delivery of our Water, Land and Biodiversity asset work across the West Midlands. You will be expected to manage your own workload and work flexibly according to the demands of the role, with support from colleagues. Your role will include: - Support the maintenance of a consistent inventory of local assets to understand their condition;- Planning and managing our assets, to ensure that they are safe, operational, resilient and legally compliant;- Provide assurance to programme delivery and maintenance/refurbishment and investment programmes;- Ensure performance against strategic KPIs.- Work with local teams to: o Review roles and responsibilities ensuring we have the right people in the right place and all staff understand their role in delivering our asset management objectives. o Ensure benefits of all assets are better understood and realised. o Identify ways to improve sustainability and resilience.- You will work closely with National and Area teams and will be responsible for planning and scheduling monitoring programmes to ensure maximum efficiency. We're seeking individuals with project management skills and / or asset management experience, preferably with relevant work experience in the water environment.You will have project or programme management experience and with an understanding of asset management methodologies. Financial management, commercial and contract management will be second-nature to you as will be the ability to deliver effectively through others.You may have worked for an asset management organisation or contractor and been directly involved in programme management with experience of risk management procedures.Project Management experience, Engineering or Environmental qualification and/or practical experience (environmental, civil, mechanical/electrical). Membership of a professional organisation such as the APM, ICE, Institute of Asset Management or CIWEM will be desirable.Health, Safety and Environmental experience, particularly overseeing/managing physical and mechanical aided work, including CDM (2015) will be advantageous. Excellent IT skills and experience of managing and interpreting data are essential.
